Consider this your dental care primer. You may have heard about or experienced some of these terms and procedures before at other Virginia dentists.   • Fillings

    Commonly performed tooth restorations serve two purposes: removing harmfuldecay and replacing damaged tooth structure.

    The process by which a resin is applied to fillings and crowns to secure them to your teeth.

    A plastic resin material that fills deep grooves and other regularities on the tooth, which serve to limit accumulation of harmful plaque and prevents tooth decay.

  • Non-Surgical Gum Treatments

    A deep cleaning of the gum and area around the gum aimed at combating gum disease before surgery or extraction becomes necessary.

  • X-rays

    An important diagnostic tool that allows dentists to identify problems lurking below the surface of your teeth and gums, such as cavities and infection, early on for the best possible treatment plan.
